Truth Thursday
Lessons from my experience
With this blog, I share the truth I have learnt in my life in the hopes that it will motivate others to find their truth.
I have learnt that the deepest truth is within my soul.
I have learnt that there are no obligations in life, only free will.
I have learnt that I reap what I sow.
These three truths helped me to realise that I had never taken responsibility for my own life. I blamed God, indirectly, for a lot of things I felt were wrong about the way my career was heading. When I finally realised that my life is my own for me to do as I see fit, I came to know that there is a level of freedom that eludes most of us because we are constantly aiming to please other people outside ourselves.
It's very easy to talk about doing what you want to do or being who you want to be. However, for those that are used to receiving the accolades and approval of others or those that delight in being and doing the 'right' thing, it is not as easy. It means that you have to let go of every parameter against which you measured yourself and begin to see that your own approval is enough.
You most likely like the idea of being your own boss. However, this requires your being responsible for yourself and able to ignore others when they tell you how foolish or delusional or mad you are, just because you have decided to be directed by your internal compass.
Aside from other people telling you how crazy you are, you have to deal with your mind telling you how crazy you are. You have to learn to train your mind not to take cues from others but to take cues from within. You have to get your mind to move from seeking another person's approval, to begin seeking your approval- you being your soul, your true self.
This blog is all about the journey on that path. I hope that it will help you discover your own voice and your own path for your own self.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments or even just to say hello. I am on this journey as much as you are, and it will be great to know I have some friends on this path with me. I can also make time to chat if you need a listening ear.
So get in touch. I am always available to respond.
Love,

Entitled and Discontent
At some points I have briefly wondered what life would feel like for me if I simply enjoyed the moment, without looking forward to an uncertain future with the hope that I will someday be satisfied.

Critical Questions
Before you begin berating yourself, ask if this sort of talk brings out the best in you. We should be kind to ourselves.

Confessions of an Unbeliever
What lies do you believe about yourself? Try examining them and replace them with the truth.

Do not be Dishonest in Defining Yourself
If you use the eyes of other people to see yourself, what you are really seeing is a construction, an amalgam of nonsense, built with the varied, often misinterpreted and one-sided experiences of these people. That is not who you are.

Being in Time: Like a Baby
The theme of the last few weeks can be summed up with one word - focus. Dwelling in the past is distracting. Worrying about the future is distracting. Giving up on the journey to our desires, is distracting. These forms of distraction are what keep us in a perpetual cycle of wanting something, attempting it, but never quite getting there.

Being in Time: Consistent in my Present
This is what consistency does, it grows you and before you know it, you are doing things that you feared you would never do or regretted not being able to do in the past. It ignores everyone else’s pace and focuses on keeping you moving forward. The focus is key.

Being In Time: Fearless Of My Future
Fear does not exist in your getting up and taking the step forward. It exists in your worry about what will happen if you do take the step forward. We don’t know what will happen. We can’t control what will happen, until it happens. SO TAKE THE STEP FORWARD ANYWAY!

Being in Time: Responsible For My Past
Being responsible for your past means removing all forms of blame, of yourself and others, and focusing on the object of your desire, or your goal. The act of blaming makes you feel responsible and active. But that is only your ego talking. In fact, blame distracts you from the fact that you are actually wasting time and energy and accomplishing nothing.

Being in Time: An Introduction
Being in Time is a way of being that will take us all on the journey to becoming our true selves - free of baggage, worry, fear and full of love, clarity and purpose. This is not about helping you to set goals or telling you what to do with your life. It is an offer, a suggestion of a guide to being.

New Year Same Me
“A journey of actively taking responsibility for our lives; learning to focus on being ourselves, without fear … finally, of focusing on being the individuals that we want to be, rather than doing things to seek silent approval. “

2018’s Last Post
I’d really like to encourage you to start or continue with that which has been consistently on your mind to do. Whatever it is, as long as it is a strong desire of yours and you can be committed, devoted to and excited about it, go for it.

Freedom is Coming
Freedom is never letting anyone tell you who you are because you already know it.

Confidence in Humility
Humility and confidence walk together when you know who you are, and are under no illusions, but guided by an inner truth.
Hamster Wheels & Gratitude
So, move forward and be one with your soul in a heart of gratitude for all that is around you - the great and the not so great.

Control Over You
There is a difference between delayed gratification and needless suffering. That difference comes in the form of the control you perceive to have over your life.

Checking In
It is important to prioritise getting to know ourselves. It helps give us direction.

A Reminder On Patience
What does patience mean to you and for what are you being patient? The need for patience is an indication that the thing for which you are waiting, you are not yet prepared for.

Focus on ME
when we stop worrying or feeling as though there is something missing from our lives, we will see that we have all that we need to be in bliss at this very moment.

Don’t Blame it on …
Blame is blinding. It blinds you from seeing yourself as you really are. It blinds you from seeing the truth.

Build on Small Dreams
Don’t allow yourself to get tangled in ideas. Begin working on the first idea; leaving no room for excuses of what you have or do not have.
