Q: Why Does The Devil Bother?

The thought started from the question: " Doesn't the devil know or understand who God is? Why would he go against God? What makes him so sure that he can win?"

Before I finished completing the question, my mind was directed to myself. I was made to ask the same question of myself. "Don't I understand who God is? Why would I go against God? What makes me so sure that I can win?"

The turn of the question opened my eyes to the reality of what is good and what is evil. What is of God and what is of the devil. There is no devil per se, not as we construe him anyway- the horned, ugly beast, or a beautiful fallen angel. The real devil is darkness. It is ignorance. It is our collective inability to know who we are and by extension, who God is. It is the cumulative negative thoughts that stem from this ignorance that have formed the devil that we blame for all evil and wrong.

"Man, know thyself" For in knowing thyself you know your Creator and can truly live as one with Him.

This battle starts within yourself. It is a battle for silence. It is a battler for space for reflection. It is a battle for peace to commune freely with God.

This is not a battle of violence. It is not a battle of putting one down. It is a battle for the salvation of all through forgiveness, love and unity.

Turn the other cheek
These are the next stages of the battle, but before you go there, we have to ask, where do you stand with yourself? Do you truly know who you are?

The answer to this question is as simple as the truth that hides in plain sight. It is as silent as the waves crashing into itself. It is as visible as the sun and as clear as the moon.

You remove evil from the world by removing evil from yourself. You remove evil from yourself by removing self-deception and that propensity to avoid facing your realities.

Start with yourself
Focus on being better
And a natural flow from this will be your blessing to others around you.

As you have learnt, the sun is a blessing just by being its best self. It shines as though there is no other option.

Shine, because there is no other option. For what you do not freely shine today, you will forcibly shine tomorrow.

Don't worry about anything, but in everything thank God and continue to strive for your best
